How do generational differences impact work attitudes and behaviors? This paper reviews recent management developments to pinpoint practical implications from research and case studies. Focusing on Thailand's manufacturing and service sectors, it examines generational divides among currently employed individuals. The core results indicate that generational differences impact key structural relationships, while industry types show no variations. Generation X displayed higher work centrality, engagement, and effort than Generation Z. In response, managers are encouraged to tailor supportive strategies toward developing Generation Y’s leadership skills given their future leadership roles and stronger narcissism ties. It also encourages coaching Generation Z to optimize their engagement-effort connection as the newest labor market entrants. These recommendations highlight the importance of understanding generational dynamics to foster a more productive and harmonious workplace.
