How can training course evaluation sheets be improved to provide better data? This paper examines the ubiquitous evaluation sheet, the most commonly used mechanism for evaluating training courses in both the public and private sectors. The most commonly used mechanism for evaluating training courses is the evaluation sheet. The author presents a study of these sheets, followed by practical guidelines for improving their design and use. The sheets are used routinely throughout the public and private sectors to evaluate training courses. Follows up by guidelines for improving their construction and use. Suggestions for redesign are provided to enable the collection of more informative data. The ultimate goal is to enhance the quality and effectiveness of training programs through better evaluation methods.
