Description

How can ethical AI principles be effectively translated into practical application? This paper introduces ethical problem-solving (EPS), a framework designed to bridge the gap between ethical discourse and the technical realities of AI development. Emphasizing human-centric and value-oriented AI, EPS translates principles into practical implementations through impact assessment surveys and differential recommendation methodology. EPS promotes responsible AI development by utilizing an Ethics as a Service Platform, demonstrating the framework's potential. The authors have openly released all framework components under a permissive license, encouraging community adoption and extension into diverse contexts. This research addresses a critical challenge in AI ethics, seeking to ensure that AI systems are developed and deployed responsibly. By providing a practical methodology and platform, this work advances the field of AI ethics beyond theoretical discussions. The EPS framework offers developers and organizations a tangible path to integrate ethical considerations into AI development processes, fostering a more responsible and human-centered approach to AI innovation.
