What is the latest research in ergonomics from Asia and the Pacific Rim countries? This overview cites twenty references from the literature on the application of ergonomic principles in Asia and the pacific rim countries, regarding workplace and equipment design with the objective of improving on employee occupational health and safety. Workplace and equipment design are the most cited references of this collection. Asia and the Pacific Rim countries have been implementing changes. Examples applicable to sugar refining, the handling of heavy metals, optical equipment, the textile industry, rice farming and agriculture, and the number of hours worked showcase the range of applications in various industries.
