Description

Concerned about the increasing risk of cyberattacks targeting sensitive healthcare data? This paper presents a systematic review of existing solutions for data breach mitigation in the healthcare sector, drawing from an analysis of 99 research papers. In this paper, we conduct a systematic review of existing solutions for data breach mitigation in healthcare, analysing 99 research papers. The analysis emphasizes the security of electronic health records, data storage, access control, and personal health records, noting a growing trend toward adopting advanced technologies like Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence. These technologies are seen as key to addressing cybersecurity threats, particularly hacking and unauthorized access. This paper outlines future directions, highlighting the need for continuous technological progress and identifying the gaps in the attack mitigations. This research underscores the importance of ongoing innovation and robust strategies to protect sensitive patient information in an increasingly digital healthcare landscape.

Published in Cluster Computing, this paper aligns with the journal’s focus on distributed and parallel computing solutions. By addressing data security in healthcare through advanced technologies such as Blockchain and AI, the paper contributes to the journal’s coverage of innovative computational approaches to complex real-world problems. The analysis of existing solutions and identification of future directions further enhance its relevance.
