Description
Climate of the Past (CP) is an interactive open access journal dedicated to the publication and discussion of research articles and short communications covering the history of the Earth's climate. The journal has a special emphasis on multi-proxy studies, modelling and data-model comparisons of past climate changes, as well as on work focusing on the forcing mechanisms responsible for long-term climate change. Climate of the Past covers timescales from (sub-)annual to multi-million years and also welcomes research on the development and validation of new methodologies used for climate reconstruction.CP encourages submissions that focus on innovative strategies for improving data and our understanding of the climate in the past.Climate of the Past is indexed in major databases such as Scopus and Web of Science, ensuring broad visibility and accessibility for researchers worldwide. All manuscripts submitted to Climate of the Past should include results that advance existing knowledge and which are of sufficient scientific significance for publication. Papers need to be well-structured, written in good English, understandable, and concise. CP is a peer-reviewed publication dedicated to disseminating the latest findings in paleoclimatology and related fields. This journal aims to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge sharing among researchers studying Earth's climate history. Original research, review articles, and shorter communications are welcomed by scientists and academics to promote the global understanding of climate change and enhance climate models by investigating past climates.
